My favorite collection from Spring 2013 Menswear Shows in Milan was of John Varvatos. Elegant fabrics were used creating the suits with Mr. Varvatos’ rock approach. Bucaneer and admiral coats also influenced the blazers. Rows of carefully placed buttons gave the collection it’s military touch while suits with enlarged stripes provided an edgy gangster look. Over all it is an elegant, manly, rebellious, creative but most importantly wearable collection. The trousers wideness and the choice of shoes are not to my personal taste but I think it is a great collection that I would certainly want a couple of pieces in my wardrobe.
